Ring-necked Duck

P10402911Spotted this single pair of Ring-necked Ducks, surrounded by many Canada Geese, in a small pond. The vibrant black one is the male and the other female. Another new bird species to me!   Apparently, the ring neck is about a thin band of brown on their necks, that is hard to spot unless we closely look.

I really enjoy seeing, learning about and photographing birds. Seems they are my favourite photography subjects!
