Peaceful Flowers

‘Tis my faith that every flower
Enjoys the air it breathes!
~William Wordsworth, “Lines Written in Early Spring,” Lyrical Ballads, 1798

wildflowers

Early in the morning today when the whole town was sleeping and buses weren’t running yet, I walked to work leisurely. Blue jays, sparrows and starlings were already up and flying. The autumn trees along the way were breathtaking. The grass was covered with frost. The flowers seemed to have just woken up. And I felt grateful to be alive at each precise moment.

Hope you too, like the flowers, enjoy the air you breathe.

By the way, happy thanks giving! (to the Canadians)
