Belted Kingfishers

An Osprey took off with a catfish. A belted kingfisher followed the Osprey halfway before turning back. I missed making a good photo with the Osprey and its catch but I was able to locate the kingfishers later:

Northern Rough Winged Swallow

Today’s bird adventure: a new bird to the list. I really wanted to see one of these birds up close after noticing them flying above me about two weeks back while I waited for a bus. They make good displays in the air! I didn’t think I’ll get a chance to see them up close anytime soon but luckily today one of them decided to sit for a few seconds close enough for my camera and eye, after a display and a dip in the pond (the one near my home). Camera goes further than the eye in these cases.

Sing Spring

Here’s the Red-shouldered Blackbird that I mentioned earlier. I always wanted to make a photo of it like the first one below;¬†singing and showing off colors.
